We live as long as we fly

An Ancient Post

Here’s a forgotten post, written you know when.
Yesterday at the Ice Hockey World Championship taking place in Riga, Latvia beat Slovenia 5–1. The fans’ joy knew no bounds—and then some, if that’s even possible.
Everyone is walking around painted up, and you can even see signs saying: "Hockey will unite us" in Latvian. For those unfamiliar with the issue—the reference is to ethnic relations.
And yesterday I was chatting with a friend, and he told me this story.
A man is walking along with that slogan and painted red-white-red , rejoicing. Then he sees another man—a local, but with a white-blue-red mess smeared across his face . They looked at each other sadly, then went their separate ways.
And my friend realized that hockey isn’t going to fucking unite us.
